![]() To each their own I guess, but for me the reward of exploration is the exploration/discovery itself.Whether it be finding a new shrine in a tucked away spot, solving a world puzzle, figuring out how to extend your stamina just enough to get to the top of that mountain, etc. Since the open world genre became super popular I think most devs have just been going down this path of filling the worlds to the brim with more and more stuff and outside of a couple specific games, they're very much worse off for it. Overall though I think both worlds benefit greatly from "less is more". ![]() I definitely hope BOTW2 does this.BOTW but with traditional Zelda dungeons would be something. Elden Ring definitely iterated on the formula though and did a great job infusing the more traditional FROM gameplay into it.
